Thank you for visiting Consonare Chorale’s website! We are preparing for our third season on the Portland arts scene. We'd like to thank the community for the wonderful support we have received. This season we pay homage to our choral tradition in the spirit of Consonare - "coming together to harmonize, resonate & share ideas." Here is a sample of what is in store.

Experience the season with Consonare Chorale! For the first time in our history we are performing a December concert. Please come to experience the union of scripture readings and song that will prepare spirit and mind to embrace the holidays and all that is encompassed.

 

Reflections at the Water’s Edge

Water remains an elusive and life sustaining literary theme. It allows one to give be a part of a bigger stream, river, or ocean and still honor the force of a single droplet. Let your senses take you on a journey with images of water and nature in the vein of celebrating the human experience.
 

Song Cycles and Other Modes of Transportation

Saturday, May 30th, 2009 @ 7:30 pm

Many great composers have used the choral octavo form to elaborate on themes and develop stories to their full extent. Let the full-circle moments of a song cycle transport you to another time and culture, or perhaps consider getting there by train, plane, or automobile.

On our website you can learn more about Consonare Chorale, our director, tickets, auditions, arts partnerships, & volunteer information.
